A crime drama universe
“Every city has a bottom. Every bottom has a man who built it, and a badge that looked away long enough to let it happen.”
The story
In 1984 crack cocaine reaches Atlanta. Damon “D-Smooth” Greer, a Vine City numbers runner with a head for logistics, sees what nobody else does: the city sits where the interstates meet. Over the next decade he builds a network that runs down I-20, I-65 and I-85 into Birmingham, Memphis, Houston, Detroit and Nashville.
On the other side are a rookie GBI agent and a DEA veteran from Miami, working the same network from opposite ends and rarely trusting each other. Between them sit judges, preachers, developers and politicians who all find a reason to look away.
